a dizer...

a dizer... (To be said)
In three exhibitions (actions in the Pêssegoprásemana, studies, images, figures in the Oficina 201 and incomplete narratives in the Olympic Salon), held in three alternative spaces (i.e. offering an alternative to institutional and commercial artistic exhibition spaces), a dizer, brings together a significant number of artists who have regularly presented their work in multiple events, organised by several of the artists present.
In this exhibition, drawing is understood as an area of artistic intervention, as an ancillary process of creation and also as a theme.
The various artists represented in a dizer, present drawings produced in various artistic fields, such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, sound, performance, communication design, fashion design, graffiti, computer assisted design, illustration and comic strips, amongst others.
The ideas, thoughts, judgements, visions and that which has to be said is fixed, registered and crystallised by means of drawing. The drawing gives the form, makes visible and materialises everything - from the simple idea to the most complex network of reflections.
In this exhibition, the notion of drawing is understood as a means of saying and a means of exhibiting content. On the basis of the works on display, when we see a drawing we can understand that which remains to be said, recognize that which still has to be said, collect and understand that which artists have to say.
The contact with the different works will enable the observer to become familiar with the actions of the various parties, understand what they want to say, hear what they want to exhibit, think about that which has been drawn and comment upon, or judge, that which is on display – i.e. that which has been stated.
On the basis of that which is said to us in the exhibition, we see that the diversity of messages corresponds to different visions of reality and different modes of making reality visible. The drawing enables us to achieve visibility for the multiple realities that constitute the real world and that, often, are invisible to us.
